Chef's Pro-Tips
- Mise en Place: Measure and prep all ingredients before you turn on the stove. This recipe moves quickly, and having everything ready prevents burning.
- Fresh is Best: Whenever possible, use freshly squeezed lemon juice, whole garlic cloves, and fresh herbs instead of dried/jarred versions. The flavor difference is huge!
- Don't Crowd the Pan: Leave room between ingredients. If the pan is overloaded, the moisture will steam the food instead of browning it.
Ingredients
6
servings
-
3 cups fresh mango, cubed
-
¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
-
2 tbsp honey, or agave
-
1 tbsp chili-lime seasoning, like Tajín
Step-by-Step Instructions
Blend Mango Base
Add the fresh mango cubes, lime juice, and honey to a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water.
Mold the Popsicles
Sprinkle a pinch of chili-lime seasoning into the bottom of each popsicle mold. Pour the mango puree into the molds, filling them halfway. Add another pinch of chili-lime seasoning, then fill to the top.
Freeze
Insert popsicle sticks into the molds. Place in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely frozen. Run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to release the popsicles, and serve.
